Get free Rotary videos on iTunes

How many times has a colleague, friend, or new contact asked you what Rotary is? If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can now respond by showing a one-minute video that explains Rotary in the words of everyday Rotarians.

Rotary Minute is a series of videos featuring Rotary club members from around the world discussing a variety of topics, such as “How have you benefited from being a Rotarian?” In addition to being available on Vimeo, Rotary Minute is now offered through a free podcast subscription on iTunes.

View the podcasts on the Apple iPhone or iPad, or on a PC or Mac that has iTunes installed. Just visit the iTunes store and search for “Rotary Minute” to find and download episodes. Also share the videos with your fellow Rotarians by using them in presentations during club or district meetings.

RI President Talks About Families Getting Involved With Rotary Service

Read the President’s December message about the importance of family.
Share the message in your club or district’s newsletter and website.
Send a message and share photos. Share your photos of President Banerjee on RI’s flickr group. Photos from the group may be used on www.rotary.org.

The rcjb meeting on Tuesday 13 December was chaired by Acting Pres VP Rtn Tan Chee Seng, Acting SAR PP Ng Yew Mun and Acting Treasurer PE Francis Gopal... and indeed it was an act well done...

Dear Rotarians,

Below are the typical email and attachments which my office has been sending out to our friends and associates.

We have been following up with them and will continue the following up until end of this month.I will update the Club on the amount collected next week.

On behalf of the flood victims, I would like to thank our fellow Rotarians who have donated or pledged to donate to date :

1) PP Anga – RM 2000
2) PP Ooi Kao Yang – RM 1100
3) Rtn Teo Shiok Fu – RM 1000
4) PP Kay Hua -Rm 3000
5) PP Ann Kiat- RM3000

I hope that other Rotarians would also chip in.If each of us on average could raise RM 500, we would get at least RM30,000 for this campaign which would benefit about 100 households.

We will finalise the collection of donations by end Dec 2011 so that we can plan how to distribute to the recipients in Jan 2012.

Knita Is now back in Singapore and she will be liaising with the Rotary Club of Meawang , Lampang and the Rotary Club in Nankonsawan for co-ordination of distribution of the donation. The correspondence between them will be copied to the Club for information and update.

She plans to go to Thailand in the second week of Jan 2012 and I hope that the Club can appoint one of our Rotarians to accompany her to Thailand and to monitor and verify the distribution of the fund.

( PP Yeo Ann Kiat )
